Profile
Hi, I’m Shelby Beal and am the creator of Pace Setter Physical Therapy. I am an Abilene native and recently moved back to my hometown stomping grounds. After graduation from Wylie High School, I attended Texas A&M University. Following my time in aggieland, I attended University of Texas Health of San Antonio for Physical Therapy school where I received my doctorate of physical therapy. My orthopedic internship at TMI Sports Medicine landed me an exciting job of 10 years. From 2013-2022, I worked at the nationally known clinic in Arlington founded by Dr. Keith Meister, surgeon for the Texas Rangers and many professional baseball athletes. I was able to learn, grow, and became passionate about high-level progressive therapy. Returning to Abilene in 2022, I immediately saw a need for elevated therapy in and around Abilene to service the active population.
I have been certified in orthopedics since 2015 and retain the ongoing training to provide the best services PT has to offer. I specialize in return to sport athletes, both surgical and non-surgical. I also am specialized in general orthopedics. I can’t wait to grow my practice and partner with the Performance Lab to provide top-notch therapy. I enjoy working with patients who have goals to achieve -whether it’s returning to collegiate sports or improving ability to get on/off the ground to garden. If you have a goal, I’m here to set the pace and get you to your finish line.
