Specialties:
OVERHEAD ATHLETE
10 years at TMI Sports Med ( home of the Texas Rangers) gave Shelby an extensive background of rehab for overhead athletes. Return to pitching for UCL surgery and treatment of commonly seen injuries in tennis, baseball, and volleyball are her specialty. You can catch her on the tennis court for some extra practice!
ACL RECONSTRUCTION
Nothing is quite as heartbreaking to an athlete than hearing you need ACL surgery. Over 10 years of treating these long recoveries, Shelby will guide you at every step back to field or court. She uses force plate assessments to provide asymmetry testing, reactive strength metrics, and readiness for return to sport. She will provide this data to your surgeon for return to sport success.
*Blood Flow Restriction
We use LiveBand cuffs for blood flow restriction training. BFR is an excellent tool for strengthening, expediting results and efficiency. See LiveBand BFR - Transforming Blood Flow Restriction for PTs & Trainers for more information.

*Force Plate Testing
Measure
You are able to measure dozens of outcomes/metrics with the use of force plates. The data used during jumping, squatting, or isometric testing provides data in recovery stages for progressions and return to sport.
Guide
With use of force plate data, we are able to guide you safely into next steps of training as well as involve coaches, trainers, medical staff on overall approach to return to function.
Balance
Feedback given with use of force plates can improve limb symmetry when learning new ways of movement after injury or surgery.
